The site FamilySearch, sponsored by the LDS Church, offers records which span billions of names across hundreds of collections—including birth, marriage, death, probate, land, military . . . This could be a great starting place, or maybe all you ever want to know.
ScotlandsPeople has almost 90 million records for you to browse—from Scottish census records to birth and death certificates and wills.
Eventually we all die, so what better place to look for family records than a site which has 103 million grave records. Find a Grave also provide links to other sites and interesting epitaphs.
