As parents, we all realize the importance of learning how to read. Beyond that, however, I think we need to help kids realize how much fun reading can be. I’ve found a few sites I think will help that process along.
How Things Work, for kids ages 3-9.
ReadingRockets, funded in large part by the US Department of Education, say their site is designed to help young children learn how to read and read better. Our reading resources assist parents, teachers, and other educators in helping struggling readers build fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.
But don’t think this site is only for those people associated with students having reading problems. They provide great reading lists for various ages, a monthly newsletter with timely tips, information for kids with special needs.
